Miracle in a Bottle

I have been looking at my bathroom cabinets with some despair. We can't replace them due to lack of funds, but they needed some help. Quite frankly, I don't want to spend a lot of time refinishing them either. Here is my master bathroom. Notice there are no knobs on the drawers...lame huh!

Here are the old handles.

Look, the cubboards look so worn out and sad. All the doors and drawers look like this....rough around the edges.

Let me introduce you to what I call, "Miracle in a Bottle". (comes in many different colors)

Look at how just rubbing this on my cabinets makes them look as good as new! Side note: I used it on all my doors and base boards too and they look amazing. No more scuffs, dings, or discoloration from everyday living. It looks AMAZING! Seriously, it covered EVERYTHING!!!!

Can you believe the difference?

I replaced the hardware for something a little more modern, but will match the rest of the house.

The drawers never had knobs on them, so we put these on. They match the handles.

Here is a look at it from farther back. Looks GOOOOOOD!

Now, I just have to change the facets to match everything else. Why the previous owners put nickel facets in when everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is brushed brass, I do not know.

Kitchen Decor

YEAH!!!!! I think I have FINALLY figured out what to put above my kitchen cabinets. It has taken almost 7 months, but I did it:)

I am really excited about this little baby! I took this picture using a pear, some old books, and 2 pencils. Then I used photo-shop to make it look like a painting. I printed a 16 X 20  at Costco. I Mod Podged it onto some wood that I painted black! Vol ah! A beautiful picture that cost me $5 to make.

Here it is next to the candles.

I got this tall pot at Ross for $11.99. I added some twigs 50% off at Hobby Lobby. Not to shabby! The 'Hope' sign is from Hobby Lobby. I got it 50%.

Here it is by the boxes that I spray painted.

I know you have seen this before, but I printed 12 X 12's from Costco of my kids. I made the topiary. This is my favorite space in my kitchen!

Here it is all put together. What do you think? Be honest.

I realize you don't get an idea of size and this photo is hard to judge, but do your best! PLEASE!

Classic Bag

I made this bag for my mom. I had a little trouble with the eyelets, but I got the wrong kind. Whoops! It still turned out cute. My mom was excited to take in on the plane with her!

Tuxedo Onesies X 2

I made some more tuxedo onesies for "How Does She". I did theses a little differently, but with the same idea! The tutorial is found HERE. Here are the photos I took.

She put my tutorial on her blog and I offered her 2 onesies for her twins if she would take some really great photos for me to use. AND SHE DELIVERED!

Save $100's on Children's Clothing

I saved $452.94 and only spent $171.88.

RUN to your local "The Children's Place". They are having a gigantic sale. There are pants and shirts for $1.99 for both girls and boys!!!!! Some pants and shirts are $2.99. There are also sweaters for $1.99 and $2.99.
I bought 21 pairs of pants (one in ever size), 5 shirts for my son, and 2 shirts for my daughter all for $74.41. If I had paid full price I would have spent $462.67 (w/ tax).

Next.... Carters. Not as good of a sale, but still good. Winter pj's for $4. LOVE it, but they didn't have my son's size. I bought 4 shirts and 3 pairs of shorts for my son, 2 dresses, 1 shirt, and 1 pair of shorts for my daughter for $97.47 BUT, for ever $25 you spend, you get a '$10 bucks' to spend on next purchase (no minimum purchase required). So I got $30 worth of bucks to spend. YIPPEE! So, it was like I actually spent $67.47
If I had paid full price, I would have spent $162.15

Under the Weather

I don't know what it is, but I keep getting sick. I had the flu 1 1/2 weeks ago. As soon as I got over that, I had a herpes breakout on my lips. As soon as that was over, I got a terrible head cold. In addition, I have 1 kiddo getting over a terrible head cold and another one heading into the terrible head cold. Please be patient as we try and get ourselves healthy again. MAN! I haven't been sick for over a year. Guess it was time:)

Sew Cute

Here is a sneak peak of what I have been up too! It is 'SEW' cute!!!! I am so clever;)
I saw this robot applique on a friends blog.

I drew it and created this! My fabric is not flat in this picture so it looks weird, but I just wanted to wet your taste buds:)

Next order of business. Hubby got off work on V-day at midnight. When I woke up the next morning, he had made me the most amazing valentine.

This little beauty is 8 feet and colored in with crayon. He taped long strips of wax paper together and colored on the non-waxy side. It's hard to see, but the heart says, "Happy Valentine's Day". Then underneath the heart he wrote, "I Love you!!!" I love my hubster!

All in a days Work

What can you get done in a days work!?! Well, a lot actually.

I made a new skirt.

I did some cleaning/organizing.
I made cookies.
I made baby gifts for a shower I have to attend this week. 2 burp cloths, 2 flower clips, a pacifier clip, and a head band.

AND, I found time to post this. Go me!
I took this with my camera phone. Look at the little bird that landed on my helmet.

I finished the day off with a bang, just one nice anxiety attack and all was good......

Before and After

This is why you should never sleep in. Normally my son will get in bed with me in the morning, but for some strange reason he decided not to. He got his sister out of her crib and together they created THIS!

Seriously!?!

Turning right a little......Come on!!!!! That red bin was already out, but they took the lid off and took almost everything out of it.

Turn right even more. REALLY!?! They got as many bins/boxes as they could out of the closet and then empty all the bins. This really made me want to say a bad word. CRAP!!

Now on to the fun.

BEFORE:
I got this from Freecycle. It cost me ZERO dollars people! Freecycle should be your best friend.

Here is a close up of the detail on the drawers and the stickers my son put on them;)

This gorgeous mirror comes with it.

Doesn't she have the most sexy curves.

Here it is taking up space in my garage. I painted it Herloom White. It is waiting to be glazed and put back into my craft room.

And there she is in all her glory.

I wanted to make it pop. I didn't want to pay a lot of money for the glaze, so I used some left over stain we had. It worked perfectly! Details people, details.

Look at the bends and curves. Gorgeous!

Valentine's Decor around the house

I think a few carefully placed valentine's decor is all I need because I am still unwinding from Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I want to enjoy my everyday decor right now. SOOOOOO, I just have a few decorations place in my house.

We made this for Make and Mingle (31 sets of these puppies were made;) I am still deciding if I want to keep them. I like the other blocks I made better.

I made this last year to hang on my front door, BUT I can't find it sense we moved. Whoops.

A cute little 'Be Mine' decor from Real Deals that I got after Valentine's Day when it was clearanced out;)

I made these XOXO blocks
