Everyone puts in $20.
Description of Program: Simple plan of healthy eating/healthy lifestyle resulting in possible weight loss and probable gain of healthy habits.
Amount of loss/gain depends on how competitive you are!
Rules:
- Program runs for eight weeks -
- Weigh In – Weigh yourself at home every Monday. Honor System of Course! Record your weight loss (from Monday morning to Monday morning) on the point tracker.
- Track Points Daily on point tracking sheets. We will go from Monday morning to Monday morning each week. Total your points and email Brenda (brenbren13 (at) ymail (dot) com). If you send your points on Monday, you get 5 additional points. Points are on the honor system!
- Good Food Points – Add 5 points for each good food eaten in the Fiber, Protein and Dairy groups. Add ten points for each fruit and vegetable eaten. Taking a vitamin supplement is worth five points. There are maximum points.
- Water Points – Earn 10 point for drinking 64 oz. of water each day.
- Bad Food Points – Subtract five points for every bad food eaten. No Max!
- Cardio or Resistance Points (any combination) – (Cardio - Walking, jogging, elliptical, bicycling, swimming, etc. Resistance - Weight lifting, Pilates, yoga, pushups, sit-ups, lunges, squats etc.): 30 minutes = 10 points, 45 minutes = 20 points and 60+ minutes = 30 points. 30 points a day max. (Points not counted on Sundays.)
- Calendar - Earn 5 points by following the daily calendar. This will be emailed to you each Sunday for the upcoming week.
- After 8 p.m. Points – Earn 10 points if you eat NOTHING after 8 p.m. Eat after Eight… Put on Weight!
- Addiction – Choose something you struggle with that takes away from living a healthy lifestyle, whether it’s a food addiction, computer addiction, or addiction to sleeping. Whatever the addiction, you receive 10 points for each day you do not succumb.
- Lost Pound Points – Weigh in every Monday morning and give yourself 15 points if you lost weight that week.
- Caloric Range – Earn 10 points for staying within your daily calorie needs or goal. Calculate your personal calorie needs by going to www.livestrong.com and click on “the daily plate” to calculate your calorie goal or go to www.mypyramid.gov and click on “my pyramid plan”. Enter in your height, weight, sex, age and physical activity level to find your recommended daily caloric intake. These are both good websites. I have found the livestrong website to be a little more precise with the exact number of calories; mypyramid.gov gives more of an approximate number. Mypyramid also has other interactive tools that are great.
So, any takers? If you are interested, leave a comment or email me. I have set up a pay pal account for everyone to put their $20 in. You can find it on the top right side of my blog.
At the end of 8 weeks the winner gets 80% of the pot, 2nd place gets 15% and 3rd place gets 5%. The more people who join in, the more money you have a chance to win!

I am interested but I am a little confused about the points. Are you talking Weight Watchers? Or just good points and bad points?
It's a point system kind of like weight watchers. You get points for every good thing you do and you have to subtract points when you eat any unhealthy foods. You only get the points for the things you do.
So I need to lose my baby weight. Ethan is 3 months now. But with moving and packing I don't want to start until Next month. Do you have a start date? Also I want to know that everyone is honest. I left a comment about mothers day but I left out the best gift I got. Sadie said she would give me a gift all day. I said,"Oh are you going to be good all day long?" She said, "no I'm not going to step on any cracks." It was a relief to know my back wouldn't get broken.
