I finally finished my mantel. I couldn't figure out what I wanted, but that wouldn't cost a lot. I wanted to use what I already had.
I wrapped some garland with lights (I already had both) and layed it on my mantel.
I wrapped green ribbon around THESE candle sticks with THESE green candles.
I put some ornaments in my apothecary jar.
I found these large and glittery poinsettias at the $1 Store. I bought 4 and put them put them in the garland.
I saw this idea a long time ago from HERE. I just drew the reindeer onto contact paper. I used the cut out as a stencil and put it on some canvass (I already had all the supplies because I LOVE to paint).
I made 1 red and 2 green. Contact paper doesn't stick very well to canvass, so if you are thinking about making some, I recommend making your stencil out of something different.
My friend Alissa came to help me hang my reindeer pictures. I was thinking about hanging this in the middle of my mantel, but decided it would be too busy, Alissa suggested I hang it up on an archway that you see when you first walk into my front door. PERFECT! Thanks!
I got the idea for my pine cone garland from HERE, but I printed off THESE ornaments from Martha and tied them onto my hemp string. I spray painted it silver. Super cute!
Here is my mantel completed. You are missing the ambiance. I have Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas" in the back ground. Timeless!
