Luck of the Irish

May the luck of the Irish be with ye! So, I have a confession. 2 nights ago, there was a meeting for the women in my church and I didn't go.....Yep, I would have had to get a baby sitter and I didn't want to. So, instead of going I made this with my friend who shall not be named because then everyone would know she didn't go either:)

So, I also have a secrete. Christina made me promise not to tell anyone, but I had my fingers crossed. jk. Christina is WAY more crafting than she lets on. She has good taste and sense in the crafting area. Sorry, guess her secretes out too. She was my crafting buddy that night;)

Want to make one for yourself!?! Well, they are super easy.
get a 2 X 4 and have someone at Home Depot cut the blocks for you.
You will need:
2 blocks 5 3/4 inches long (L and K)
2 blocks 5 inches long (C and Clover)
1 block 5 1/2 inches long (U)
1 base 20 inches long

I picked up my paper packet at Walmart for $8. It was double sided and had lots of color options. My friend used her cricket and cut out the letters for me in a dark brown card stock and the clover out of some of the green paper from the paper from Walmart.

I painted my blocks dark brown. Then, I traced the blocks onto the paper and cut it out just a little smaller than then blocks. Mod Podge the paper and letters onto the blocks and let dry.

Embellish however you want.  We used ribbon, hemp, buttons, and flowers. We had a trusty hot glue gun to attach all our creativity onto the blocks! Also, we distressed the edges of the shamrock with brown acrylic paint, but you could also use chalk or colored pencil.

With the amount of crafting you do I think your next birthday present should be a cricut and then for christmas you need to ask for a vinyl cutter!

So, so cute! I'm pretty sure I want to make one of those! Hey, do you know how to minimize the ads on your blog? For some reason they are so big they cover up part of your post! And I can't figure out how to make them move so I can read it!

They don't do that on my screen. Maybe try making your screen bigger. If that doesn't work let me know.
