PLEASE Help ME!

It is no state secrete that I have struggled with some severe depression. I have been very open about my battle. Life has finally seemed to turn around for me in the past 5 or so months. Now that I am feeling like myself again, I have noticed a few things that need attention. One, I have lots of clutter. I have been working on getting my home de-cluttered. I have donated lots of items, given away some, and my home is finally coming together:)

I have also noticed something not so good. I ate myself numb. I gained about 50 lbs. this past year. The sad thing is I weigh more now then I did after I had my daughter. DRAT!!!! So, my new goal in life is to get myself back into shape. I am ashamed to admit it, but I am not healthy any more. I use to exercise religiously, eat only the most healthy of meals, and I lived a very active lifestyle. I have picked up a lot of bad habits along this journey. I stuffed myself full of junk and exercised very little. Here is a picture of me when my daughter is 2 months old. I had about 15lbs left to loose (and I lost it all).

2 1/2 years later, I look like this. Whoops! So, I know I have had an extremely hard mental illness that I fought. In fact I really think food kept me alive sometimes. BUT that is not the point. I want to loose this weight.

So, I have tried this before and had very little interest. Maybe, after seeing my before and now pictures, people will want to help support :) I want to have a little community of inspiration, motivation, and weight loss help. Have any of you heard of Feel Great In 8. It's about a healthy life style. Most people loose weight while doing this. I did. I lost the remaining baby weight from this program in only 8 weeks. Every week you send in the points you earned. You can earn points by eating vegetables, fruits, drinking water, exercising, you loose points for eating unhealthy foods (pop, chips, pizza, etc). You get a freebie once a week where you will not loose points for eating unhealthy food. Whoever has the most points in the end wins. BUT every week we will have a little winner too. The person with the most points at the end of the week will get a smaller prize. That way we can keep people motivated. What is the prize. Everyone puts in $20 and the winner gets 80% of pot. 2nd: 15% and 3rd: 5%. The weekly winners will be a prize from me. I will off things like: vinyl, free pattern, material, crafting supplies, jewelry, baby items, and a book.

What do you think!?! PLEASE help me!!!!! I need this extra kick in the butt to get going. A little competition helps me push myself. So, let me know if you are interested. If I have enough people, I will give you more details. We will be going off the honor system.

Count me in!
I need to lose 20 pounds for several health reasons:
1. I have fibromyalgia and junk food is not good for my condition
2. I have developed high blood pressure and no that weight lose will help
3. I just had a pacemaker "installed" and weight loss will help my heart.

I've been struggling to lose it and am stuck. this sounds like the "HELP" I need too.

That sounds great I too need to lose weight. I have alot of health issues that would get better with less weight.

I'm totally in Brenda! And, although he might not be too into the weekly prizes, count Austin in too! P.S. Since I went on Zoloft, I've gained about 30 pounds! That's added to the 20 or so I still needed to lose after Max was born! I'm working with Dr. E. right now to go OFF Zoloft... hopefully now I can actually get rid of some weight!

Hi Brenda! Stopping by your blog for the first time and really enjoyed my visit. Came across this post and I thought of another blogger whom I have enjoyed following. Her main blog is a great encouragement and she also has one about her weight loss journey. Here is the link if you'd like to stop by: http://www.jeremiah-2911.com/p/weight-loss.html

So much to see here on your lovely blog! I will be perusing for a while more :)

Kindly, Lorraine
