I found this skirt on clearance at Babys R Us, but there was not a matching shirt to go with it. Well, I wasn't going to let that stop me:)
I got 1 yard of ribbon and a plain white t-shirt.
tie a bow in the middle of the ribbon and pin it directly onto the shirt.
Arrange the 'tails' of the bow in any fashion you want. There is no wrong or right way. Just go for it. Here is a close up of what I did.
Then stitch it down.
$8 total for 2 shirts to match a skirt :) Not too shabby!

I LOVE those shirts!
Did you sew straight down the ribbons or just sew it down in certain spots?
These shirts are so cute! I love this idea!

This is too cute!
I just started a linky party this past Tuesday. It was a great success with over 50 link ups! I would love it if you would participate next week! It's called $10 Tuesdays and it's for things that cost less than $10 and take 20-30 mins (ish) to complete. I love inexpensive and quick projects and I'm guessing others will too ;) Thanks so much for considering.

PS. I'm GIVING away 50 button pony tailers this month! Come visit and claim yours ;)
I sewed along the outside of the ribbon on both sides to secure it down so it wouldn't require ironing after washing;)
