Let me tell you a story. Thursday night we had a good friend come over and walk my husband through changing the facet in our kitchen. It had been leaking and everything underneath the sink was getting wet. All was going well until we turned the water back on. There was still a leak. Nothing we could do to fix it because the original turn off valve for the hot water was so worn out. So, we turned the water off and early in the morning the next day I called our home warranty. They sent someone out and $55 later we have a new valve and no leak! WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!! I have 2 words for you "Old Republic". It is a home warranty company. It was a gift from our realtor. She paid for it, $375 for 1 year. It has been worth it's weight in gold. Enough said.
Here is the ugly leaky facet we took out. It had a handle, but I don't know what happened to it.
Here is our new brushed nickel facet.
Here is our new hot water valve under the sink:) Beauty isn't it.
We were without water for....wait for it.....18 hours. Can I just say it sucks having to borrow your neighbors bathroom. We spent as much time at the park and a friend's home as possible:) Plus, I had to let underneath the sink dry out. So, I had this sitting on my kitchen table the whole time.
On a different note, I have a little treat instore for you. Here is just a glimpse into what I have been up too.
Any guesses? You MIGHT be right, but there is lots in store;) So, I will be busy for a little bit! I can hardly wait to show you guys all the fun we have been having here.
