Playing Dress Up Part 2

Welcome back! Here is part 2 of our dress up party! Unless otherwise stated, use a 1/2 inch seam allowance.

Take the piece that is 2 X 45 (should be from you fabric B) and press into a bias tape. To do this fold in half and press.

Open, then fold right edge to center and press.

Fold left edge to center and press.

Fold in half and press. You just made bias tape!

Fold ends in and top stitch close.

Sew the whole length of the bias tape closed.

For sash (from your fabric B) pin RST (right sides together) and sew closed (1/4 inch seam allowance). Making sure to leave one end open for flipping.

Flip right side out and press. Fold open edge in and sew closed. Top stitch other end to make uniform.

For the body of the dress. With RST pin the sides of the dress together. Sew together. Ignore the seam in the middle of my dress. I messed up and forgot to put it on a fold. UGH! Oh well.

That's all we will be doing today. Tomorrow we will sew the collar to dress. Thursday we will finish it all up and you should have a new dress for your lil' woman to wear on Friday:)
